Yin Yoga

Yin yoga is a passive practice in that you work to relax all of the muscles and stretch the ligaments, tendons and fascia, which results in a longer resting length of your connective tissue. In Yin yoga, we “sink in” to poses, which are primarily done on the floor, for 2 - 5minutes depending on the pose and your ability. Your body's ability. Only you feel how far you can go, when you  find your balance to feel the edge and at the same time feel the stretch for those few minutes that is when Yin Yoga will have affect on your body. It is a guarantee that you will feel a difference instantly. When there is pain that is not the effect or intent of Yin Yoga. Every body structure is different. Meaning not everyone can make that stretch forward like the other it is physically impossible and possible. The key is to find that point of feeling the stress on the muscles and ligaments just enough to get the effect and rest your body needs to stay fit without the common aches and pains age can impose.

Combining it with Reiki is nurturing and can be restorative on many levels. It is a great way to balance out the physical and emotional practices of your life! Many props and support are always provided.
